John Cena

Let's be honest: hailing from the rolling hills and broad valleys that constitute West Newbury, Mass., will likely never earn you "street cred"--unless, of course, you're John Cena. Then again, it didn't happen overnight for him, either. Long before he became the Dr. of Thuganomics, young Cena had to endure the neighborhood rocker kids' taunts about his baggy pants and rayon Kwamé shirts. His love for freestyling lyrics about rebellion and individualism just didn't fit within the small rural community. By the time he turned 15, however, those same kids would stop teasing him, for it became apparent that Cena had been developing another passion: hitting the gym.
After applying to more than 60 colleges (and being accepted by 58), Cena attended Massachusetts' Springfield College, where he excelled as a Division III All-American offensive lineman and team captain for the Pride. But as much as he fondly remembers his college football accomplishments, he's equally as proud of earning his degree in Exercise Physiology, which he attributes to making him a smarter, more durable performer in the ring today.
Though a huge WWE fan since childhood, rooting for heroes like Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, and Shawn Michaels, Cena had honestly never even considered a career in WWE. Instead, he flew out to California in 2000, to pursue a profession in bodybuilding (a move he now admits to making simply because his father had told him he wouldn't make it out there). But while working behind the counter of Gold's Gym in Venice, a discussion with a wrestler-in-training encouraged Cena to enroll in classes at Ultimate Pro Wrestling. He was instantly hooked, and became motivated to learn everything he could about his newfound craft. He obviously proved a quick study; within a year, World Wrestling Entertainment signed Cena to a developmental contract to train at Ohio Valley Wrestling. By June 2002, he had joined the SmackDown roster, and less than a year later headlined the first of what has since become countless main-event matches.
That said, Cena has never forgotten his roots. In fact, remembering where he came from has helped him evolve into the man he is today: A well-versed hip-hop artist, a successful movie star and a blue-collared Superstar who's always ready to fight. He leads his WWE fan-based army into battle with the mission statement he's been down with since Day One: Hustle, loyalty and respect.

Jimmy Uso

Coming from a long line of Samoan Superstars, which includes WWE Hall of Famers The Wild Samoans, his father Rikishi and even multi-time WWE Champion The Rock, Jimmy Uso is incredibly proud of his Anoa'i ancestry. However, anyone expecting Jimmy or his twin brother and tag team partner Jey to don grass skirts like some of their in-ring island forebears has another thing coming.
Making their WWE debut on the May 24, 2010, edition of Raw alongside Tamina, daughter of WWE Hall of Famer "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka, the fiercely competitive Usos ambushed The Hart Dynasty and proved to the WWE Universe that the Harts are not the only noteworthy family in sports-entertainment. The Usos look to define their WWE career with a single word: Domination.

Jey Uso

A descendant of the Samoan Anoa'i family, Jey Uso's bloodline includes such in-ring legends as his father Rikishi, his great uncles The Wild Samoans and even multi-time WWE Champion The Rock.
Along with his twin brother Jimmy and Tamina, daughter of WWE Hall of Famer "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka, Jey is determined to shake loose any preconceptions his opponents might have about the Samoan culture. Anyone thinking Jimmy & Jey Uso will ever compete barefoot while wearing tribal beads like their island-born WWE Hall of Famer great uncles would be sorely mistaken.
The Usos & Tamina made their WWE debut on the May 24, 2010, edition of Raw, attacking The Hart Dynasty -- part of the "first family of sports-entertainment" -- and sending a clear message to the WWE Universe: There's a new dominant family in WWE.

Jerry Lawler

Decorating himself in royal blue and gold attire accompanied by his famous crown, Jerry "The King" Lawler is one of the most accomplished color commentators and Superstars in wrestling history.
A 2007 WWE Hall of Fame Inductee, Lawler is a favorite among WWE fans for his historic career and weekly contributions on Monday Night Raw with broadcast partners Jim Ross and, following the 2008 WWE Draft, Michael Cole.
A self-proclaimed king, this excitable and outspoken Raw color commentator from Memphis, Tenn., has been dishing it out with the microphone and in the ring dating back 30 years. He got his original break back home in the Memphis wrestling circuit. It's his gift of gab and southern pride that have on occasion led to "The King" lacing up the boots and getting in the ring again.
While "The King" has scored victories over legends such as Terry Funk and Hulk Hogan during his career, he is perhaps best known for his rivalry with entertainer Andy Kaufman. This led to a role alongside Jim Carrey in the hit film, Man in the Moon. The Lawler-Kaufman battles raged not only in the ring, but on television as well. Lawler's incident on Late Night with David Letterman where he slapped Kaufman is considered one of the most memorable moments in that show's history.
Lawler brings a unique brand of commentary to Raw that draws millions of followers around the world each week. "The King" has become so popular that he even wrote an autobiography. It's Good to be the King ... Sometimes, was released in late 2002 to critical acclaim and is still one of the best sellers in the WWE autobiography series.

Jack Swagger

At 263 pounds, "The All-American American" Jack Swagger first came to WWE as part of then-ECW General Manager Theodore Long's New Superstar Initiative.
Growing up, he admired sports-entertainment greats Danny Hodge and Dr. Death Steve Williams, both of who would personally help him in his future training.
First getting involved in wrestling at age 5 and attending a high school that boosted several state wrestling championships, "The All-American American" quickly developed into an outstanding amateur wrestler, becoming a two-time high school Heavyweight State Champion. In true American fashion, he earned a full scholarship to a Division I School in both wrestling and football.
Swagger's tremendous amateur wrestling background carried him into the world of sports-entertainment, in the tradition of legends Bob Backlund and Hall of Famers Jack and Gerald Brisco. His defined technique brought a completely different style to the Land of the Extreme, and both ECW and the WWE Universe quickly took notice of his sheer charisma and impressive combination of strength, ability, physique, acumen and style. It was no wonder that a Superstar with so much going for him walks with such a swagger in his step.
Swagger describes himself as "The All-American American," the best of the best, and the highest of the high. He doesn't think he's the best, he knows it. And for him, it is not a question of what the WWE Universe can expect from him, but what little they can not.
It wasn't long before Swagger's natural talent brought him to Monday Night Raw. And it was there that he earned an opportunity to compete in the Money in the Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania.
At WrestleMania XXVI, Swagger reached a new level of greatness when he overcame nine other Superstars to win the spectacular Money in the Bank briefcase on The Grandest Stage of Them All. Just five days later, "The All-American American" stunned the WWE Universe by cashing in his championship opportunity against Chris Jericho on SmackDown to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.
Now that Jack Swagger has propelled himself into the Friday Night limelight, what's next for the ultra-confident 21st Century Superstar?

Jack Korpela

Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Jack Korpela's love for WWE began when he was just six years old.

"My father took me to a party and they were watching WrestleMania V," Korpela said. "I fell in love with WWE right then and there."

For Korpela, listening to the play-by-play of the matches seemed nearly as entertaining as watching the action in the ring. Korpela attributes this to one legendary Superstar and announcer, the late Gorilla Monsoon.

"In my book Gorilla was one of the greatest announcers this world has ever heard. He added so much knowledge, passion, and excitment to each match," Korpela said. "He was a big inspiration to me. I want to get people excited the way Gorilla got me excited."

Korpela's broadcasting aspirations led him to the University of Florida where he graduated with a degree in journalism and communications. During his college days, Korpela embarked on a career as a motorsports announcer on ESPN 2.

Since Korpela realized one of his lifelong dreams of joining WWE in 2006, he has lent his unique perspective to the SmackDown and "WWE Superstars" announce teams and counted down to WWE pay-per-view events on the Free For All. He also can be seen on WWE Classics on Demand, WWE.com Legacy, and numerous international WWE television programs.

Husky Harris

Don't let the name or size of season two WWE NXT Rookie Husky Harris fool you. The third-generation competitor was one of season two's most athletic prospects. Not only does Harris have an impressive background, but he is also the grandson of the legendary "Blackjack" Mulligan, and the son of "I.R.S." Mike Rotundo.
Weighing in at close to 300 pounds, the season two NXT Rookie certainly had a size advantage over some of his competitors, but his athletic achievements were most impressive. Harris is a former high school wrestling state champion, a junior college All-American football player, and also played at Troy University in college football's highest level, Division I.
His WWE NXT season two Pro was certainly no stranger to living up to a legacy. "Dashing" Cody Rhodes, the son of Dusty Rhodes, has been establishing his own path since becoming a WWE Superstar. Having been part of The Legacy with Randy Orton and Ted DiBiase, Rhodes served as the perfect prototype of what it takes to live up to a family's name and history.
A few weeks after the conclusion of WWE NXT season two, Husky Harris resurfaced during Hell in a Cell along with fellow NXT alum Michael McGillicutty to help Wade Barrett defeat John Cena. As a result of the attack by Harris and McGillicutty, Cena was forced to join The Nexus. Weeks after, following repeated assists to Barrett's group, Harris and McGillicutty followed the multiple-time World Champion as not just WWE Superstars, but official members of the "N"-labeled warriors.

Hornswoggle

Though he might be half the size of every other Superstar on the roster, it could be easily argued that Hornswoggle has twice the heart of any of his peers.
Since debuting in 2006, 'Swoggle's tenure in WWE has been a storied one, including a long successful search for his true father, Finlay.
However, now Hornswoggle is off on his own wreaking havoc on all of WWE's Superstars and, after showing sheer grit and determination, he accomplished a life-long dream of his to become a part of DX as the group's official mascot in late 2009.
What's next for Hornswoggle is up in the air, but one thing is for sure, that the locker room must be wary of what the pint-sized Superstar is up to.

Heath Slater

Ask Heath Slater who the most talented WWE NXT season one rookie was and he won't hesitate to say himself. Describing himself as a "one man rock band without the instruments," this young stud from West Virginia may walk and talk with unabashed arrogance, but he has the talent in the ring to back up his big mouth.
Following the conclusion of NXT season one, Heath Slater and the other members of The Nexus came to Raw looking to make an impact. Feeling held back on WWE NXT, "The One Man Rock Band" saw attacking Raw Superstars and WWE Legends as the perfect opportunity to make a name for himself and along with his associates, be granted a WWE contract. Slater's raw ability and endless confidence made him an integral member of the intimidating faction.
On the Jan. 21, 2011 edition of SmackDown, Wade Barrett, Justin Gabriel, Ezekiel Jackson and Heath Slater came before the WWE Universe to declare themselves The Corre. Barrett made it clear that unlike The Nexus, all four members of The Corre would be equals. They pledged to take SmackDown places it had never gone before.

Goldust

With a literal love of gold and mind games that flummoxes his opponents and his fans, Goldust is one of the most bizarre Superstars in WWE history.
The Bizarre One reminds our longtime fans of wrestling legends Gorgeous George and the Exotic Adrian Street with his blond wig (which he removes before his matches), a flowing golden robe and ring attire and black and gold face paint. He resembles an Oscar statue and has a penchant for theater, viewing his matches as mini movies for his Shattered Dreams Production.
During the early years of his WWE career, he had his "director" Marlena (his then-wife Terri Runnels) at his side. The pair captured the imagination of our fans, and their risqué personas helped lay the foundation of the Attitude Era years.
Goldust was deceiving -- he was as tough a Superstar as there's ever been in WWE. He used his appearance to throw his opponents off their game so that he could devastate them with a reverse suplex and brain-buster combination he called the Curtain Call. He surprised his foes with his brawling ability and surprisingly vicious mean streak.
However, Goldust's in-ring abilities shouldn't have surprised anyone; after all, wrestling was in his blood. He's the son of the "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes and grew up watching his dad endure countless ring wars. But Dustin Runnels did not want to live in his legendary father's shadow. He wanted to forge his own legacy in the squared circle.
His championship résumé speaks for itself: He is a two-time United States Champion (as Dustin Rhodes in World Championship Wrestling), won the World Tag Team Championship once (with King Booker) and a three-time Intercontinental Champion. Goldust took the machismo out of Razor Ramon en route to winning his first Intercontinental Championship, and our fans still talk about his Hollywood Backlot Brawl with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper at WrestleMania XII. His battles with a young Triple H also helped prepare the future Game for his multiple world championships.
Publicly and privately, Dustin Runnels lamented on his struggle to live up to his father's legacy. But he should be very proud -- as Goldust, he provides WWE with some of its most provocative, and sometimes humorous, moments. One thing is for sure, no one will ever forget the name of Goldust.
Following Cyber Sunday 2008, Goldust returned to the active roster wreaking havoc on the psyche of the Braggodocious Italian Superstar, Santino Marella. The Bizarre One returned to the ECW roster full-time for a while before joining SmackDown with the advent of the revolutionary WWE NXT.

Gail Kim

Gail Kim began her WWE career with a firestorm of momentum, winning a Divas Battle Royal in her debut match to capture the coveted Women's Championship. She then spent the next year and a half battling the best Divas in WWE. She soon anointed herself as a "wrestling submission specialist."
Kim reemerged on SmackDown on March 27, 2009, poised to once again make some noise in the squared-circle. She immediately interrupted a Divas Championship Match between Maryse & Michelle McCool, leaving both Divas at her feet as she held Maryse's title high above her head.
After being traded to Raw, Kim will now have the opportunity to exhibit her skills on Monday nights, and perhaps, become the next Divas Champion.

Ezekiel Jackson

Ezekiel Jackson is the definition of ringside intimidation. Born in Guyana, Jackson moved to Harlem, N.Y., where the rough streets helped raise him. Growing up, he was forced to often do what he does best — bust heads and take no names, feeling no remorse for any of his actions. Through his experiences, he learned the hard way that sometimes a man has to do what he has to do.
Jackson entered WWE as an associate and bodyguard of The Brian Kendrick in July 2008 on SmackDown. He made a strong debut in the WWE ring three months later, and later started teaming with The Kendrick. Jackson set on his own after the 2009 WWE Supplemental Draft, and was drafted to the Land of the Extreme. He made his ECW on Syfy debut in July 2009, quickly dominating his competition. On the final edition of ECW on Feb. 16, 2010, Jackson defeated Christian in an Extreme Rules Match to become the final champion in ECW's history.
After making his presence felt on Monday Night Raw, Jackson moved to Friday nights.

Eve

If one were to ask Eve how she views herself, the beautiful Los Angeles resident would answer, "I am sexy, smart, and always excel and do my best."
It's that same drive which propelled Eve to enter the 2007 Diva Search and become not only one of the final eight contestants, but the winner of the competition. No stranger to the excitement of a large crowd as a Los Angeles Clippers Spirit Dancer, she now brings her unique strength and enthusiasm to WWE.
Eve is hardly a slouch in the brains department either, as she's adept at solving Rubik's Cubes whenever the mood strikes her. Also, in addition to studying Gracie Jiu-Jitsu with Rener Gracie, she assisted in designing GracieUniversity.com.
To help keep her body in shape, she enjoys dancing, running, aerobics and kickboxing. And if you really want to get this Divas Champion's temperature rising (pay attention, boys), the key to Eve's heart is a night of salsa dancing, with intelligent conversation mixed in.
It's easy to see why one might consider Eve to be a strong, beautiful woman with a sunny disposition, though be warned; she's the first one to admit that if something or someone rubs her the wrong way, "I do have a bit of a temper."

Evan Bourne

Evan Bourne is a high-flying ring technician whose fast-paced intensity is quickly making him a force to be reckoned with throughout WWE.
While growing up in St. Louis, it was Superstars such as Bret Hart, Dean Malenko, Rey Mysterio, and Eddie Guerrero that first instilled in young Bourne a desire to make audiences feel the way he did while watching them.
Later, he became a hardcore ECW fan, admiring such greats as Tazz, Sabu, and RVD. And it was while traveling to ECW events that he captured his first taste of the live, unbridled sports-entertainment intensity that he would never let go of.
Bourne started training to be a professional wrestler at 17 years old. Before long, he had become the first person under the age of 18 to be licensed to wrestle in state of Missouri. It was during his very first match, while connecting with a difficult moonsault, that a familiar feeling washed over him and left no doubt in his mind that he was doing what he was meant to do.
While continuing to learn all he could about the business, Bourne attended college, earning a degree in marketing from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He went on to become the vice president of sales and marketing for a small mailbox company in St. Louis. But, during his time, his company allowed all the time he wanted to travel and train. They knew, as did he, that his destiny lay in the ring.
Bourne's quest to join WWE eventually took him all over United States, Europe and Japan. During this time, he became very accomplished, winning several honors including St. Louis' Wrestler of the Year in 2006 and Move of the Year in 2007 for his Shooting Star Press.
In 2008, Bourne blasted onto the ECW scene, giving the WWE Universe an exciting combination of Mexican, Japanese, and American training styles that has made him both a dangerous high-flyer and a sound ground technician.
Now that Bourne has been traded to Raw, it will be interesting to see how he adjusts his high-flying arsenal against a new crop of opponents. Who knows, maybe this change will lead him to his own golden opportunity.

Drew McIntyre

From the moment Drew McIntyre entered the realm of the squared circle, he made his intentions very clear to the WWE Universe -- plow over anyone he feels like and snatch the spotlight from wherever it might be pointing. And, before even taking part in a single match, McIntyre turned Friday nights upside-down by launching a series of unrelenting attacks on R-Truth.
The ruthless aggression of the Scottish Superstar paid in spades when he was personally awarded a SmackDown contract by the Chairman of WWE himself, Mr. McMahon, who called him "a future World Champion."
Since arriving on SmackDown, "The Chosen One" has paid dividends on Mr. McMahon's belief in him, reigning supreme over John Morrison to capture the illustrious Intercontinental Championship. McIntyre's forceful nature is only outdone by his extreme confidence and ironclad resolve.
On Sept. 19, 2010, at Night of Champions, Drew McIntyre captured his first WWE Tag Team Championship with "Dashing" Cody Rhodes in Tag Team Turmoil against The Hart Dynasty, The Usos, Mark Henry & Evan Bourne and Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov.

Dolph Ziggler

Картинка 106 из 122
Since making his debut on Raw, this aggressive young Superstar has made certain that every ring warrior on the roster knows his name. For weeks leading up to his first match he would approach Superstars and Divas alike in the locker room area with what has became a familiar refrain: "Hi, I'm Dolph Ziggler."
With his sculpted physique and cocksure attitude, Ziggler gives off the aura of an athlete who knows exactly what he's doing. The young Superstar makes use of his impressive amateur wrestling background (during which he won more matches than anyone in Kent State University's history) to ensure that for years to come, the WWE Universe will remember the name of Dolph Ziggler.
In August, 2010, with the help of SmackDown's Official Consultant Vickie Guerrero, Dolph Ziggler hit the Zig Zag on Kofi Kingston to capture his first Intercontinental Championship. WWE's resident cougar also played an instrumental role in Ziggler's controversial (and short-lived) World Heavyweight Championship reign in February 2011.

David Otunga

After becoming well-known to followers of reality TV and American tabloids, David Otunga made his name famous as one of the first NXT Rookies. First coming to prominence as part of the VH1 reality show, I Love New York 2, Otunga has since become better known as the fiancé of Grammy and Academy Award-winning actress, Jennifer Hudson. As anyone confronted with Otunga's impressive physique can testify, the competitor has more than his fair share of brawn and good looks, but he backs up these natural gifts with a powerful intelligence, as exemplified by his degree from Harvard Law School. A fan of lavish vacations, Hollywood parties and seeing his face in People and Us Weekly, the self-proclaimed "Kanye West of WWE" stands to get a lot more of his favorite things as part of WWE.
The runner-up of WWE NXT season one, Otunga joined the winner, Wade Barrett, and his fellow season one Rookies to form The Nexus. The group came to Raw upset over their treatment on NXT and were out to ensure they would all receive WWE contracts. When The Nexus was finally granted contracts, Otunga not only became an official WWE Superstar, but he elevated his "A-List" status even further.

David Hart Smith

With a father like the "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith, and a grandfather and uncle like Stu Hart and Bret "Hit Man" Hart, David Hart Smith has a wrestling lineage second to none. He grew up in the industry, idolizing his father and uncles, Bruce, Bret, Owen and Jim "The Anvil" Hart, among other members of Calgary, Alberta, Canada's first family. Now, after years of training, David Hart Smith is ready to carry on his family's rich legacy.
Sometimes watching David Hart Smith can be like watching a Bulldog highlight reel. He shares his dad's unique blend of power, grace and agility. And he brings the kind of grit, determination and dedication to excellence that is a Hart family hallmark. He's also used his father's famed running powerslam to finish off opponents.
Indeed, it's difficult not to see Davey Boy Smith when watching David Hart Smith. But the ECW Superstars is his own man and determined to write a new chapter in his family's novel of greatness in the sport of kings. The British Bulldog's pup has bite and represents a new generation of Harts in WWE. And somewhere up in the squared circle in the sky, Davey Boy is looking down on David Hart Smith and smiling with approval.
David Hart Smith was drafted to ECW on Syfy in the 2009 WWE Supplemental Draft. He made his ECW debut in May 2009 when he aligned with fellow Hart Dungeon-trained Superstar, Tyson Kidd, and Diva, Natalya, to form The Hart Dynasty.
With a name steeped in wrestling history, Hart Smith had continued making his family proud and making the WWE Universe stand up and take notice.
In April 2010, David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd won the Unified Tag Team Championships from Big Show & The Miz. In August 2010, Bret "Hit Man" Hart presented Hart Smith & Kidd and Natalya with the new WWE Tag Team Championships on Raw.

Daniel Bryan

With 10 years on the indie wrestling circuit, Daniel Bryan came to season one of WWE NXT as by far the most experienced NXT Rookie. Trained by none other than Shawn Michaels, he proceeded to compete on multiple continents while honing his craft. His journeys served the young competitor well, as he became well-known for his hybrid of Japanese and American offensive styles. He made good use of vicious elbow strikes, precision kicks, spine-jarring suplexes and various torturous submission maneuvers. Bryan has even competed in front of 50,000 fans in Tokyo!
Despite the wealth of knowledge and variety of styles at his disposal, Daniel Bryan proved instrumental in eliminating himself from WWE NXT. It was a mistake that he aggressively attempted to rectify over the next several weeks, even going so far as to participate in a Monday Night Raw assault by the season one NXT Rookies, who ultimately made a new name for themselves as The Nexus.
Remarkably, Daniel Bryan expressed sincere remorse for the attack, an emotion that didn't sit well within The Nexus. The band of outlaws cast him out, and the WWE Universe heard no more from Daniel Bryan - until SummerSlam, when he replaced his former mentor and WWE Pro, The Miz, as the seventh member of Team WWE's match against The Nexus. He made the most of his return, and was pivotal in helping John Cena and Team WWE triumph over the renegades at The Biggest Event of the Summer.
Daniel Bryan successfully challenged his former WWE Pro, The Miz, at Night of Champions, to capture the United States Championship.

Curt Hawkins

Curt Hawkins, hailing from Queens, N.Y., first gained prominence as part of "The Family," hitching his wagon, along with partner Zack Ryder, to a major star: The Rated-R Superstar, Edge.
Hawkins & Ryder soon began a respectable run as the WWE Tag Team Champions, after winning the titles at The Great American Bash.
Parting ways with Ryder, Hawkins -- along with Vance Archer -- was given a "limited SmackDown contract" by SmackDown General Manager Theodore Long. The contract called for the two Superstars to do one thing, "make an impact." And over the next few weeks, that's exactly what they did, earning Hawkins an official contract.
Now that Hawkins has ventured out on his own in WWE, can he finally carve a name for himself in singles competition?

Cody Rhodes

As the son of WWE Hall of Famer the "American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, Cody Rhodes grew up admiring his father and watching him capture the imagination of wrestling fans worldwide. Now Cody is ready to carry on his father's legacy while carving out one of his own in WWE. Cody's road to success started when he teamed with Hardcore Holly, as the two captured the World Tag Team Championship in 2007.
Besides being the son of "the son of a plumber," Cody seems like he was destined for the squared circle. He had a stellar high school wrestling career, winning major tournaments before signing a deal with Ohio Valley Wrestling, WWE's developmental territory. While training for his debut on the big stage, Cody was honored when his father asked him to help induct him into the WWE Hall of Fame. It was a highly emotional night for father and son, who are extremely close.
"He and I, we're like best friends, we're really close," Cody told WWE.com at the time. "So for us to be together -- if ultimately he were to say, ‘I don't want anything further to do with pro wrestling,' this would be a wonderful way to cap it off."
Now, with his father watching on, Cody Rhodes is thrilled to have an opportunity in WWE and show the WWE Universe that the legacy of the Dream lives on. The second-generation Superstar has already won championship gold twice, the first time obtaining the World Tag Team Championship with partner Hardcore Holly, and the second time turning on Holly with new partner and fellow wrestling scion, Ted DiBiase, to win the title again at Night of Champions.
The duo would also look to another Superstar, Randy Orton, for guidance. With Orton as their mentor, DiBiase and Rhodes both became a better tag team and fierce singles competitors. However, their allegiance with Orton crumbled and they would end up opposing their former leader.
Along with DiBiase, Cody Rhodes represents a new generation of Superstars that have the genetics, pride and confidence to go the distance. Rhodes has made his intentions clear: to make his own name in WWE, and he doesn't want anyone holding him back.
On Sept. 19, 2010, at Night of Champions, "Dashing" Cody Rhodes & Drew McIntyre captured the WWE Tag Team Championship in Tag Team Turmoil against The Hart Dynasty, The Usos, Mark Henry & Evan Bourne and Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov.

CM Punk

Luck is for losers, at least according to CM Punk.  Even though his arm is literally tattooed with good-luck charms, Punk believes you make your own good fortune through hard work and intense preparation.
Growing up in Chicago, the Superstar's childhood consisted of watching the likes of "Rowdy" Roddy Piper and Jimmy Snuka exchange words, then blows. Such heated rivalries helped Punk realize that WWE was where he belonged. Adopting the "Straight Edge" movement -- in which one bases their life around personal development, and avoids drugs, alcohol and a dependency lifestyle -- Punk has brought his own style to WWE.
Punk's in-ring repertoire is an assimilation of fighting styles he has learned from his travels around the world. In his WWE pay-per-view debut as a part of Team DX at Survivor Series 2006, Punk brought down the house in Philadelphia where fans showed their respect for his talents.
In 2007, the Straight Edge Superstar obtained the ECW Championship by defeating John Morrison on ECW on Syfy. In his tenure in the Land of the Extreme, he was considered a top contender and constant threat for whoever was holding the ECW Title.
At the 25th Anniversary of WrestleMania, Punk became the first person to win multiple Money in the Bank Ladder Matches, becoming Mr. Money in the Bank for the second time in as many years.
After using his Money in the Bank opportunities to help him become the only multiple-time Straight Edge World Champion in WWE history, Punk set out to begin the Straight Edge Society. Converting several members of the WWE Universe to the Straight Edge way of life, his actions paved the way for a powerful alliance, as The Second City Saint became the "savior" to his loyal disciples including Luke Gallows and Joseph Mercury. The prophetic, charismatic Punk would apply the same leadership abilities as the primary handler of The New Nexus, ousting Wade Barrett as the nefarious squadron's overlord.
Whether a sole champion of his cause or flanked by supporters, verbally - from the commentary booth - or by force in the ring, CM Punk continues to preach from his self-appointed squared circle pulpit at the epicenter of the WWE Universe.

Christian

Christian is smug, extremely confident and believes his very presence is a gift to sports-entertainment fans everywhere. Truth be told, he is a nine-time World Tag Team Champion and three-time Intercontinental Champion — and he won a championship in his very first WWE match. The date was Oct. 18, 1998 at the Judgment Day pay-per-view, where this long-haired, black-clad member of the faction known as the Brood beat Taka Michinoku for the Light Heavyweight Championship.
Not long after, Christian and Edge would form what would become one of the most successful and most outlandish tag teams in WWE history. Together they won the World Tag Team Championship on seven separate occasions. He'd later add two more tag championship reigns, once with Lance Storm and another with Chris Jericho.
The off-beat duo of "E & C" engineered some of WWE's most memorably absurd moments. Their egomaniacal "five-second pose" morphed into a "37-second pose" for the benefit of those with flash photography, and Christian never allowed a shot without his signature giant-framed, bug-eyed sunglasses. They signed autographs — then charged for them. They tormented hometown crowds with skits belittling their beloved sports teams. And they never passed up an opportunity to mess with a nearby authority figure.
Together, Edge and Christian were masters of the "Conchairto" — sandwiching an opponent's head between two steel chairs. The chair was their signature weapon; the Hardy Boyz were famous for flying off ladders; and the Dudleys were synonymous with tables. When the three clashed, TLC (Tables, Ladders and Chairs) was born.
No one can deny that Edge & Christian took part in many of WWE's most famous and dangerous tag-team matches, including the Ladder Match at WrestleMania 2000; Tables, Ladders and Chairs Match at SummerSlam 2000; TLC II at WrestleMania X-Seven; and TLC III on the May 24, 2001 episode of SmackDown!
Things were great for the duo until King of the Ring 2001, which Edge won thanks to assistance from his ally. Captain Charisma would obsess over Edge's trophy, often taking it from his hands mid-ring entrance and carrying it himself as if he were King.
In August at SummerSlam, Christian's slight jealousy turned to full-blown discontent after watching his partner win the Intercontinental Championship. Captain Charisma tried to respond in kind by challenging for the now-defunct European Championship. But when that match went awry, Christian snapped, marking the end of their most-successful allegiance.
Christian's first singles championship since his debut match came against his former partner at Unforgiven, where he took away the Intercontinental Championship. From there, the two would tangle in many memorable Intercontinental Championship matches, including a Ladder Match at No Mercy and a Steel Cage Match at Rebellion.
In addition, Christian won the Hardcore Championship at WrestleMania X8 and his second Intercontinental Championship at Judgment Day 2003, when he won a Battle Royal featuring all former Intercontinental Champions. The third time came against Booker T in August.
After a few years away from WWE, Christian returned during the Feb. 10, 2009 episode of ECW on SyFy, declaring his mission to ascend to the top of the Land of the Extreme. He accomplished that goal, winning the ECW Title from Jack Swagger.
After ECW paved the way for WWE NXT, Christian became one of the first WWE NXT Pros and also made the move to Monday Night Raw.

Chris Masters

Chris Masters never met a mirror he didn't like. Sporting the kind of physique usually only seen in comic books, the 6-foot-4, 275-pound Adonis is cocky beyond compare with the power and ability to back it up in the ring.
Debuting on Raw in early 2005, Masters quickly caught the attention of the WWE Universe thanks to his unbelievable build and his devastating finishing maneuver, The Master Lock. A wrenching full nelson, the hold has been applied to some of WWE's greatest Superstars, including Shawn Michaels and John Cena.
Believing the hold to be unbreakable, Masters began offering up thousands of dollars to anyone who was willing to try and escape. These "Master Lock Challenges" usually ended with a grinning Masters and a volunteer screaming in agony.
The California native's rampant arrogance has gotten him embroiled in heated rivalries with the likes of Michaels and Carlito. And while the young Superstar has yet to secure any top gold in WWE, he has competed in some big time events, including an Elimination Chamber Match and various title opportunities.
After being drafted to SmackDown, Masters took a brief hiatus from WWE. In the summer of 2009, Masters made a surprise return to Raw before returning to SmackDown. With the same enviable physique and a restored drive, Chris Masters is ready to make another impact in WWE.

Chavo Guerrero

To some, wrestling is a way to get out of the regularity of life. To others like Chavo Guerrero, it is a way of life, a legacy and tradition that entwines a family.
His gene line reads something out of wrestling history; his grandfather was the legendary wrestler and promoter Gory Guerrero and his late uncle, Eddie Guerrero, is a name that will continue through the ages.
"Chavito" began his quest at an early age, often wrestling with Eddie during the intermissions of Gory's shows in Texas. After making his official in-ring debut in Mexico and traveling around the world, Chavo came to WCW in 1996, winning the Cruiserweight Championship twice during his time there.
Chavo came to WWE in 2001, and has won the Cruiserweight and Tag Team Championships multiple times. He fulfilled a life-long dream when he teamed with Eddie Guerrero to win the gold in 2002.
Following the tragic passing of Eddie in November 2005, Chavo has dedicated every match to his late uncle, and adopted Eddie's signature Frog Splash as his own finishing maneuver.
In 2008, the self-proclaimed "Mexican Warrior" aggressively pursued CM Punk's ECW Championship, leading Guerrero's greatest triumph: An ECW Title reign.
No matter who he is with or against, Chavo is loyal to his bloodline and a proud member of one of the most celebrated families in WWE history.

Brodus Clay

Fierce. Forceful. Unstoppable. This is Brodus Clay, who first came to the attention of the WWE Universe as part of WWE NXT season four.

Tipping the scales at 360 pounds and standing at 6 feet 8 inches tall, the “Mastodon of Mayhem” has towered over the majority of his opponents from the start. While this makes him practically an immovable object, Clay also boasts incredible speed and agility for a man of his size.

Sometimes called "the world's biggest suplex machine," Clay grew up on the mean streets of Los Angeles and has plenty of A-list experience under his belt, as he recently worked as the bodyguard for Snoop Dogg.

In week eight of the WWE NXT competition, Clay traded in his original WWE Pros – Ted DiBiase and Maryse for Alberto Del Rio, working closely with the aristocratic Superstar's personal ring announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez, to finish second in the overall competition.

Emerging as a protégé of Del Rio on SmackDown, the immense Clay was quickly signed by General Manager Theodore Long, making him a dangerous new part of the Friday night roster.

Brie Bella

Scottsdale, Ariz.'s Brie Bella made her debut on SmackDown in summer 2008 and made an immediate impact on the Divas Division.
On her debut night, Brie defeated former Women's Champion Victoria, showing that this half-Mexican, half-Italian beauty may be new to the scene, but she is ready to take on any challenge. After outsmarting Victoria in their first match, climbing under the ring to gain valuable time, Bella defeated Victoria in a rematch on SmackDown, proving she is not going to be an easy Diva to deal with.
Weeks later, it was revealed that Brie actually had a twin sister Nikki, who appeared to be every bit as competitive and cunning as she is. Together, they look to rise through the ranks and into Diva greatness.
In fact, Nikki would be instrumental in helping her twin sister capture the duo's first championship win in WWE. On the April 11, 2011, edition of Raw, Nikki's distraction helped Brie unseat reigning Divas Champion Eve, catapulting The Bella Twins to the top of the Divas Division.

Booker T

Booker T has an illustrious and decorated history with WWE. He is a six-time World Champion, winner of the 2006 King of the Ring tournament, as well as the holder of numerous other prestigious championships and honors.
From the first moment he stepped into the WWE ring in 2001, Booker T has Spinarooni-ed his way into Superstar elite status, tangling with a virtual who's who of the squared circle, including "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Undertaker, John Cena, Triple H, Randy Orton, Batista, Rey Mysterio, Ric Flair, Christian, Mark Henry and many more.
Some of the most memorable moments of his WWE career included his association with The Alliance, costing "Stone Cold" the first-ever Undisputed WWE Championship against Chris Jericho, battling Austin in a grocery store, a partnership with the outrageous Goldust that was as hilarious as it was unlikely and his outspoken reign as King Booker.
The ultra-charismatic Superstar returned to WWE in 2011 as part of the biggest Royal Rumble in WWE history. Five days later -- on the Feb. 4 edition of SmackDown -- Booker joined the announce team on SmackDown as a color commentator.

Big Show

After more than one year away from the ring, Big Show made his long-awaited return to WWE when the immense monster re-emerged at No Way Out 2008 -- almost eight years to the date of his debut.
Last seen carrying the ECW Championship in the Land of the Extreme, the self-proclaimed "raw-boned Superstar that breaks things and moves the immovable objects" is one of the most dominant forces in WWE history. Returning from a 14-month hiatus, Big Show has once again engulfed WWE with his gargantuan paws and the goliath looks to wreak more carnage than ever before.
Reminiscent of Andre the Giant and Big John Studd before him, the pound-for-pound World's Largest Athlete is a feared competitor who can intimidate an opponent with his size and stare alone. Big Show's measurements are astounding: 441 pounds; 7-feet of raw girth and might; 22 EEEEE shoe size; 22 1/2 ring size and a 64-inch chest.
Big Show made his in-ring debut in WCW where he left a massive impression as The Giant, and captured the WCW Championship on two occasions, along with the WCW Tag Team Titles. The Giant had an immediate impact in WCW, focusing his attention on some of the biggest icons in the industry, from Hulk Hogan to The "Nature Boy" Ric Flair.
In 1999, the mighty giant became a worldwide star upon signing with WWE. He continued to collide with Superstars of great renown and captured countless titles, including the WWE Championship. From "Stone Cold" Steve Austin to The Rock to Undertaker to Triple H, Big Show has battled and manhandled the top names in all of World Wrestling Entertainment.

Beth Phoenix

Originally, Beth burst onto the Raw scene in May 2006. Coming through the crowd, she attacked then-Women's Champion Mickie James. James was able to escape Phoenix and yelled "What are you doing here!?" as she left the ramp.
In the days to come, our fans would learn more about Beth Phoenix. Former Women's Champion Trish Stratus introduced Beth as an old friend of Mickie James, and insinuated that in the past, James had wronged her. Two weeks after Beth's first appearance, Stratus officially introduced her as the newest Raw Diva. Beth then welcomed herself to Raw by once again attacking Mickie James from behind, chasing her through the crowd and out of the arena. The following week, Beth made her in-ring debut, teaming with Torrie Wilson to defeat Candice & Victoria as James looked on from outside the ring.
However, in her first solo match against Victoria, Phoenix suffered the injury that would keep her sidelined for more than a year. After suffering a fractured mandible, she had a titanium plate inserted in her jaw the next day.
After missing more than a year, Beth Phoenix made her return to Raw on the July 9, 2007, broadcast. Moments after Melina pulled out of a tag team match due to injury, she introduced "close friend" Beth Phoenix as her replacement to team with Jillian against Mickie James & Candice Michelle. Phoenix & Jillian were unable to get the win, but teamed with Melina to assault Candice after the bout.
Upon her return, the relentless Phoenix proved that her newly acquired titanium jaw had only fueled her hunger for gold. As The Glamazon, Phoenix came to dominate Raw with her considerable size and strength advantage. She leveraged that advantage heavily, and quickly drew a bead on the reigning Women's Champion at the time, Candice. After a couple of losses, Phoenix managed to blunt Candice's speed and agility to capture the Women's Championship in October 2007.
After a five-month title reign of dominance, however, The Glamazon would relinquish her crown to Mickie James. However, at SummerSlam, Phoenix recaptured the gold in a Winners Take All Match, proving that The Glamazon is capable of rising from the ashes of adversity again and again.
Soon after losing her title to Melina, Phoenix relocated her fury to SmackDown, ready to make Friday nights her next target of dominance. The Fabulous Firebird made a powerful statement when she became the second Diva in history to compete in the traditional Royal Rumble in 2010.

Alicia Fox

Introduced to the WWE Universe as the wedding planner for Edge & SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero's nuptials, Fox has quickly made a name for herself -- albeit one she may not want.
With an extremely hands-on approach to planning the wedding, Fox was caught on video in Edge's hotel room, where the two exchanged a passionate kiss -- and ruined the reception on SmackDown.
Fox, distraught by the mess between Edge and Vickie, moved her business to the UK where she met a talented up-and-comer, DJ Gabriel. Now, after honing her craft on SmackDown following the 2009 Supplemental Draft, Fox was ready to show off her talents on Raw and vie to become one of Monday night's top Divas.
She did just that in the summer of 2010 when she captured the Divas Championship. The title reign proved that Fox refuses to be forgotten.

Alex Riley

Does his hair look all right? Of course it does. Like his arrogant mentor The Miz, Alex Riley clearly isn't lacking in confidence.
The son of a former Miss Virginia and an ESPN sportscaster, Riley describes himself as a "rare breed." Indeed, after earning bachelor's degrees in economics and communications from Boston College, he knows exactly what he's worth and never hesitated to communicate it to the WWE Universe during the second season of WWE NXT. Riley finished an impressive third place in the competition before following The Miz to Raw as his apprentice, later promoted to his "Vice President of Corporate Communications."
In the employ of The Awesome One and aiding The Miz in his shocking WWE Championship conquest, this self-proclaimed "Varsity Villain" has cultivated his affinity for bending the rules and bullying his opponents at every opportunity.

Alberto Del Rio

Alberto Del Rio came to WWE from the Mexican elite. A Superstar of tremendous society stature and culture, he has been linked to the bloodline of Spanish royalty Ferdinand and Isabella. Everything about him, from his education to his sense of honor and his very appearance exudes an image of carefully-calculated majesty. He is, in every sense of the word, a Superstar of boundless means.
With pure aristocratic arrogance, Del Rio chose to make his SmackDown debut in the summer of 2010 by interrupting and insulting Rey Mysterio. Later that night, Del Rio stunned the WWE Universe by making the two-time World Champion tap out in his first WWE match!
Alberto Del Rio clearly prides himself on excellence. Armed with talent that appears to match his superior attitude, it is only a matter of time before his zest for the finer things in life put him to an aggressive collision course with a WWE title.
